Righteous Rudy -vrs- Bey

beyonceDude.
If you can look at this picture and all you can do is walk away mad at her vague political references… shame on you.
Yes.
We could say that her statements are pro black lives and anti ROUGE police. So whats wrong with that? She didn’t advocate killing police. She didn’t even say Fuck the police. In fact her overall message was “stop killing us.”
If you’re a law and order advocate then you should champion any message that protests the criminally bad actions of bad actors that threaten the reputation of good police.
You clowns prefer to attack a young girl, trying to make a difference, and instead support bad cops. No matter what happened, you start bellyaching about “a rush to judgement,” hoping to run out the clock, and send your good ole boy back to work. You’re afraid that its a slippery slope. If we find even one cop guilty, it could lead to another conviction.
The point is that this crap has been going on all the time – but nobody had a camera in their pocket way back when.
The black community does not hate the police, except for the criminal ones. We need and respect good cops. The problem in the hood is that we never know which kind of cop we will meet on a dark summer night – good or bad.

BTW: Message to Rudy Giuliani. Bernard Kerik.
Whenever Rudy Giuliani rears his ugly head, I like to invoke the name of Bernard Kerik. Rudy spent his considerable political capital and convinced the naive cronnie infected Bush administration that Kerik would make a good head of homeland security. It might have worked to, had one of his hoes not busted him out.

A Front Row Seat On The 3 Mile Line

butts2Do you know what this says?

L. A. BÜRGERMEISTER Garcetti FEIERT RAMS ‘ RETURN

I didn’t either. Its in German or something. I translated the whole Sports Article electronically, but you can already guess what its all about. The headline talks about Eric Garcetti, celebrating the return of the RAMS to Los Angeles. The piece barely mentions the city of Inglewood, and it never mentions Inglewood Mayor, James Butts.

I won’t be so bold as to suggest that Mayor Butts masterminded this whole NFL coo. I prefer to believe that Mayor Butts took advantage of a sweet stream of well aligned stars or perhaps he recognized a storm of opportunities, and capitalized on them.

Mayor Butts just recently emerged from a hostile City Council that had destroyed the reign of Former Mayor, Roosevelt Dorn. The political struggle within that council was ridiculous, as two of the council members positioned themselves between the success of the city and some inane personal vendettas. They threatened to derail the Forum deal with MSG and Chase, complaining about road and environmental studies. Careful maneuvering and clever politics forced those two knuckleheads out of office and paved the way to an Inglewood renaissance. The Forum was led back into play with a ground breaking concert, headlined by the Eagles. Suddenly the Inglewood venue was attracting world class concerts by world class talent in spite of the powerful glow of the Staples Center. Once drawn out of the harsh reputation as an “urban” city, the perfectly placed municipality started to deliver on expanded services, for its people. Street paving, signage and a sense of safety and security raised out of the ashes, and property values rebounded.

Seemingly out of nowhere, chatter started to surface concerning Stan Kroenke, The Rams and the former Hollywood Park property near center city. Operatives of AEG and The City of Los Angeles got wind of it and dragged out Tom Ridge who attempted a cynical back handed attack on the Inglewood stadium proposal. Ultimately, after years of circle jerking with the NFL, AEG and The City of Los Angeles surrendered and gave up their pursuit of a team in the city of LA.

Today Roger Goodell, the NFL owners and Stan Kroenke have agreed to make the City of Inglewood the home of the returning RAMS. Garcetti is out there tweeting, celebrating, and profiling, acting like he pulled off a miracle. His pus is showing up all over the television, grinning and accepting accolades for a job well done, overlooking the fact that he gave up on it just a scant few months ago. The least he should be doing is sharing the stage with Mayor Butts. He should show some class and at least be ashamed of himself.

I happen to be a Raider’s fan, but I might cheat on them on any given Sunday, if my property value goes up.

Rivers 2
It’s been suggested that maybe the San Diego Chargers should consider moving their team closer to home than all the way up to Los Angeles. Quarterback Rivers has expressed reservations about the proposed move so perhaps he would be more comfortable if the team makes a simple hop across the bridge to Mexico.
I think that the Tijuana Chargers has a nice ring to it.
